- The Backstory -
After stepping down as President of Virtual Reality in early 2024, NEVERDIE explored the derelict Howling Mine while scouting for a nightclub location. There, he discovered trace elements of unknown minerals with unique quantum properties exceeding those used in planetside teleportation—unlocking the solution to stable intergalactic teleportation. Traditional mining was costly, but by blasting asteroids with enhanced space cannons, sufficient minerals were harvested for commercial use. NEVERDIE secured the mining rights to expand his job system and combat the economic disruption caused by AI bots
STEAM DATABASE CHARTS
The number of concurrent players shown in the Steam Charts, only counts users running the Steam Client. The actual number of players online at any given moment is perhaps 10x -15x higher as most Pre-2025 players are utilizing the Entropia Universe client to login. But the Steam Charts are a useful Metric to track popularity with the Steam Community.
FAT ASTEROIDS!
M-Type Asteroids can be found exclusively in the vicinity of the Howling Mine Asteroid Belt. Larger Asteroids require Higher Skills and a significant amount of Explosives or Ammo, per mining run.
ENTREPENEURS WELCOMED
To Start your own mining enterprise you will need a Ship. Starter Ships with limited mining capabilities can be purchased on the open market from other players starting as low as $4 for a V-TOL and $7 for a Quadwing. The (L) Pioneer, a dedicated Mimining Ship that can utilize the most powerful lasers can be purchased on the open market starting around $150 USD or you can collect the components yourself and have the Shipwright at the Howling Mine construct it for you. A magnificent Prospector ship with Warp capabilities are a limited edition ship and can only be purchased from their current owners starting at $10,000 USD, If you are lucky enough to find one for sale..
