What is a Repair Run?
Every action you perform in Entropia Universe will generate Experience in the form of skill points. Just like in the real world, the more you do something the better you get at it.
The repair run capitalises on this mechanic and gets you a ton of transferable skills for very little work which then ties into a number of different Professions and gets you well on your way to becoming a Metaverse Entrepreneur.
Professions v Skills
Skills are the foundation of everything.
If you choose a specific profession like Asteroid Mining. The skills you obtain are tied to your profession while overlapping with other Professions.
Levelling Asteroid Mining:
While you’re developing your Profession, you will see skill increases for things like Prospecting and Laser Weaponry Technology.
The skills system works in a way that allows skills you develop to have an overlap with other Professions.
Examples:
- Prospecting - Feeds into your Asteroid Mining skillset and also your regular Mining skillset for mining planet-side
- Laser Weaponry Technology - Feeds into Hunting, Crafting and Asteroid Mining since you can use Laser Weapons for Hunting & Asteroid Mining, you can also craft Laser Weapons which this skill helps with.
What is a Mothership?
A Mothership is the biggest and toughest ship in Entropia Universe. It can host a very large crew and even has it’s own hangar for launching smaller vessels.
What is a Privateer?
A Privateer-Class Ship (Starfinder / Pathfinder) is smaller and faster than a Mothership. It can still host a very large crew although it doesn’t have its own hangar.
Requirements
- Guest status on the Mothership
- A Vehicle Repair Kit (RK)
- Welding Wire (WW)
How does it work?
First things first, you need to be on the guest list.
Get to The Howling Mine Terminal before the event starts to get yourself on the guest list.
When you’re accepted onto the guestlist, you are all set! As long as you have an RK & WW which can be purchased in the Howling Mine Bazar or obtained through the purchase of a Starter Pack from the Store.
Once onboard and have your gear ready to go, the Mothership will undock from The Howling Mine Terminal and set off into the void.
We will then engage aggressive mobs in space and start taking damage.
This is where you come in…
Once damage starts, we need you guys to start repairing your hearts out and keep us alive. The more damage we take, the more you can repair, and the more skills you get.
These skills will overlap with many different professions and give you a great starting block for your career in The Howling Mine.
They will also tie into your personal Attributes like Health Points (HP) which allows you to take more damage personally.
